Now, Motorola has released another phone, called Moto X Play. This new 5.5-inch phone comes with a full HD display, an interesting processor, a spectacular 21-megapixel camera and a pure Android Lollipop that was not modified, like other companies have done.
However, probably the most interesting and attractive feature is its splash-proof body that protects the device from water entering its internals, in case of water accidents.
Another attractive thing that can easily make customers choose this device is the price. The new Motorola comes at the price of 435 dollars, which is an affordable price, considering its features and hardware.
If customers are wondering why it is called Play, this is because it has a skin made from rubberized plastic and all kind of light colors, instead of being made from wood and leather paneling, like the higher-end X Style.
However, despite being made from plastic, this phone gives the feeling that it is well built and it will suit perfectly into a jacket pocket. For the moment, there are only two colors available on the market for this phone, and those are black and grey.
However, customers could try out Motorola's Moto Maker online tool, because they can customize their phone from approximately 14 different colors for the back panel and more than 6 colors for the metal accents. This is a great opportunity for them to have a unique phone and some of their favorite colors on their devices.
Moreover, the resistance to water feature is another great way for Motorola to attract clients. The new Moto X Play was not designed to be fully submersible, meaning that clients could not take the phone while swimming.
However, this phone is fully protected if users will accidently spill drinks or drop it into the bath tub. It cannot be compared with other phones, like Sony Xperia Z5 that is fully submersible, but it is a peace of mind for all customers to know that the phone can be protected from water splashes.
The new Moto X Play is 148mm long and 75mm wide, but it's not as chunky as it sounds. Weighing 169 grams, this phone fits perfectly into hand and it is very comfortable to use.
The 5.5-inch display has a full HD resolution, more exactly 1,920x1,080-pixels. It runs with Google's Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, which is the pure version of Android.
Under the hood, users will find a 1.7GHz octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM, being the perfect combination for games, like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, among many other.
