Android Kitkat - Release and Rumours

After the release of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean which offers nothing newer than 4.2, everybody was eagerly waiting to see the next Android OS which was rumored to be Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. It has quickly taken the spotlight and became the talk of the web. But with a surprise move, from Google, they announced the new Android OS will be called "Android KitKat" (trademarked name of the Nestle's chocolate candy bar)and that it will be Android 4.4 not 5.0. As the android device activations now passed 1 billion Google says that they can't wait to release the new platform and it's their goal with Android KitKat to make an amazing Android experience available for everybody. Well that clearly underlines the earlier rumors that suggested google's plans in using their new platforms like smart watches, gaming consoles, low-cost smartphones, and even laptops.

Android Kitkat 4.4! What Is Kitkat?

The decision to brand the new name is likely to be seen as a marketing coup for the world’s biggest food and beverage company with the search giant. But Google already said that "This is not a money-changing-hands kind of deal". Instead they explained it as an idea that was both fun and unexpected. But actually as they realised that lime pie is not popular among customers they decided to give it a name that is more familiar. And the idea came and within 24hrs they discussed and got permission from Nestle.
Also this is being explained as a tie up by others, we are not getting any deeper in this issue. Whether it is true or not we are expecting really a sweet treat from android this time.
